As Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Swing State Chris Dennis has led the company from a start-up firm into a leading global, consultancy group. 

 

She is a proven communications strategist and accomplished risk compliance officer with extensive experience in crisis management, strategy development, executive visibility, media relations, and social advocacy. 

​

Chris is responsible for all aspects of the firm's strategy, team, and operations across Swing State's global network of offices. She leads the firm in its mission to deliver the best client results in the political and strategic communications consulting industry.

​

In addition to assisting clients, Chris serves as managing principal for the Americas. In this role, she is responsible for both client and Swing State people outcomes and works to grow the firm globally.

 

Chris is a member of Swing State's global Strategy and Operations solutions and a leader in the firm’s General Consulting and Strategic Communication solutions. 

​

Prior to co-founding Swing State, she built extensive experience as a leader in bank regulatory compliance. Chris served as a chief risk officer and led the compliance department for the fourth largest financial institution in the United States. 

​

During the 2020 election cycle, Chris made history as the first African-American woman to serve as a Political Director for a presidential campaign in the Volunteer State.
